Mother Nature's Blazing Fireworks

It happens every year on July 4th.  Fireworks.  In my garden.   Lucifer Crocosmia in brilliant red explodes at my curb-side.  Things I get to do today include rating July 4th displays.









This one gets Five Stars:  1) Quality--perfection in arrangement--not a petal out of place


2) Long lasting--the explosion started last week and will continue for at least two more weeks,

3) Intensity--one of the most vivid reds available

4) Beauty and Grace--unsurpassed.
