Work the Wind

One could get dizzy looking at them. Rows and rows of blades moving circularly rather blow the mind, so to speak. But it makes sense to use what is normally just a nuisance in this area--the wind. The turbines gather the winds. That work creates electricity.

I'm fascinated by the dancing patterns and documenting them will be part of The Things I Get To Do Today.

  1. Wind turbines are not so ubiquitous here; It's fun to point discuss them with the children--the way of the future. I might not be so positive about driving into a forest of them.

  2. They build the engines for wind turbines not too far from where I live :) I wonder if they ever truck them out to your neck of the woods!

    1. My neck of the woods is NW Oregon. There are quite a few on the border of Oregon and Washington as one travels east but nothing like the forests/seas of them we have seen here east of Los Angeles. Vestas is the maker for the ones in Oregon. Is that your local manufacturer?
